Dr. Sammy Wyatt is a lifelong Louisianan and highly accomplished public servant, recognized for an unwavering commitment to the protection and advancement of his community, state, and nation. As a distinguished U.S. Navy veteran and former law enforcement administrator with over two decades of experience, Dr. Wyatt has demonstrated exemplary leadership and dedication to public safety.

Academically, Dr. Wyatt has built an impressive record of achievement, earning an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Bossier Parish Community College, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from LSU Shreveport, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Centenary College of Louisiana, and a Ph.D. in Human Resource Education from Louisiana State University. These advanced degrees underpin his expertise in compliance and risk management.

In his current capacity as Chief Compliance and Risk Management Officer and Title IX Campus Coordinator at LSU Health-Shreveport, Dr. Wyatt is responsible for the strategic identification and reduction of waste, fraud, and abuse, ensuring the highest standards of organizational integrity. His leadership is further reflected in his active membership at First Bossier Church in Bossier City and Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge, underscoring his commitment to service and ethical conduct.

This binary distinction is not only rooted in religious doctrine but is also supported by scientific understanding. There are no additional genders beyond male and female, despite contemporary efforts to suggest otherwise. As a career law enforcement officer, criminal investigator, and Title IX Coordinator for a public university, Sammy has witnessed firsthand the consequences of policies that attempt to redefine gender, particularly those that allow transgender individuals to participate in spaces designated for women. Such initiatives undermine the integrity and fairness of women’s sports and compromise the opportunities available to female athletes.

His faith has taught him the value of every life, and his time serving in the Navy and his career as a law enforcement officer reinforced his commitment to protecting it. A strong supporter of our Second Amendment, Sammy will always fight to protect that right from the radical left. As a federally licensed firearms dealer and business owner, Sammy understands the importance of gun ownership and believes that every Louisianan should have the right to protect themselves and their families.

A former law enforcement officer with more than two decades of experience, including being a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T.) for over five years, Sammy has seen the important role firearms play in keeping families safe. In the U.S. House of Representatives, Sammy will fight to make sure our right to keep and bear arms is never threatened and that our safety and freedom remain a top priority.
